The ISG had its inception in the year 1960, and is registered under Societies Act, XXI of 1860. We have over 2400 life members, hold a national conference and 2 mid-term conferences every year, publishes Indian Journal of Gastroenterology.
Indian Society of Gastroenterology is a member of 2 international societies:
a) World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO)
b) Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE)
